A Choice For Iran: The Shining Sun of Freedom and Emancipation

Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of Iranian Resistance for the transition period after the mullahs’ overthrow, is the Shining Sun of freedom & emancipation of Iranian people and their hope for equality and social justice.

On October 21, 1993, the Iranian Resistance parliament-in-exile, the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), introduced Mrs. Maryam Rajavi as the president-elect for the transition period after the mullahs’ overthrow in Iran.

The events of the past 25 years indicate that the election of Mrs. Rajavi as the president of the Iranian Resistance was the best choice not only for this period to advance the goals of the Resistance and to realize the overthrow of the despicable tyranny of the mullahs’ regime but also for the transition period to transfer the sovereignty to the Iranian people. At the same time, her thoughts, perspectives, stances, and plans are color of tomorrow and smell of a promising bright future!

She describes Iran’s future in a poem she recited in the grand gathering of Iranians in June 2014 in Paris:

We will build a nation
Where no laws trump the people’s will
We will build a nation
Where the gallows, are nothing but a bitter and distant memory
Where Cranes will once again be used for constructing the cities
We will build a nation
Where the ominous death penalty is abolished
Where every city and street of tomorrow,
Would have imprinted bold on their walls,
No to lashing and torture
No to massacre of joyful flowers and smiles
No to suppressing people
No to nuclear destruction and atomic bombs
At the heart of this soil, lies only the blossoming of delight
Everywhere, the only assumed and inalienable right, in every corner of this land, is freedom
We will build a nation
Where greatness of the sun, will be captured in the shining eyes of its dawns
The name of this liberated nation is Iran
The name of this liberated nation is Iran

(Maryam Rajavi – Grand Gathering of Iranians – Paris – June 28, 2014)

Maryam Rajavi, the irreconcilable enemy of the mullahs’ oppressive regime, has presented a 10-Point Platform for the future of free Iran that emphasizes on gender equality, respect for all individual freedom, separation of religion and state, and a non-nuclear Iran. The platform calls for a pluralist system and freedom of parties and assembly, and more importantly abolition of death penalty.

A look at Maryam Rajavi’s 10-Point Platform for Free Iran of Tomorrow sheds more light on why she is the right choice for the transition period and a promising future for Iran.

In addition, she has presented a plan for women’s rights and equality that outlines a new perspective on the future of Iranian women and girls as the following:

  1. Fundamental freedoms and rights
  2. Equality before the law
  3. Freedom of choosing one’s own clothing
  4. Equal participation in political leadership
  5. Equality in the economic sphere
  6. Equality in the family
  7. Prohibition of violence
  8. Prohibition of sexual exploitation
  9. Repealing Mullahs’ Sharia laws
  10. Social benefits

Free Iran with the President-elect Maryam Rajavi

Mrs. Rajavi’s platform revives the lost trust of Iranian people who were betrayed by Khomeini’s regime and his reactionary followers that oppressed the Iranian people for nearly four decades with a dagger and the slogan of “either hijab or slap on the head” imposing compulsory veiling on Iranian women while having no merit for Iranian society, except for poverty, suppression and killing.

The following brief video clip of the Free Iran 2018 gathering shows international support for Mrs. Rajavi and the NCRI as the only viable and democratic alternative to the misogynous mullahs’ rule in Iran.
