The Ever Growing Resistance in Iran Continues

At the end of last year, protests erupted all over Iran and turned into the biggest uprising in the country in recent years. The protests are still continuing to this day and they are not set to stop any time soon. All the evidences indicate that Resistance in is growing in Iran and becoming more and more prevalent.

The Iranian regime’s days are clearly numbered and it is well aware of the fact that it can no longer deceive the people or suppress them.

For decades, the people of Iran have been given false promises and their hopes have always been dashed. The Iranian regime is incapable of reform and it is for this reason that the people are calling for regime change.

The people, as always, are supported by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI). The NCRI, the main opposition to the Iranian regime, will hold its Annual Gathering on June 30 in Paris to discuss the current developments and the Alternative’s future plans. There has always been a massive turnout at the gathering. Last year, there were more than 100,000 people in attendance including hundreds of dignitaries, government officials, politicians and human rights activists from around the world.

Every year brings more positive developments than the year before. Last year, the President-elect of the NCRI, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, spoke about the Iranian regime’s state of despair. She emphasized that the situation in Iran is changing and the international community is finally realizing that its policies of appeasement towards Iran is misguided and do not work.

Mrs. Rajavi highlighted that the only way to achieve freedom for Iran and peace and tranquility in the region is to firstly overthrow the clerical regime. She made it very clear that the overthrow of the regime is “imperative” and “within reach” and emphasized the role of the organised and democratic Resistance in this regard.

Officials in the Iranian regime are starting to panic about the future and can no longer hide their desperation. The speaker of Iran’s parliament Ali Larijani recently spoke about the four things that are a threat to the regime’s rule.

He said that the infighting in the leadership and the international isolation are huge factors. Furthermore, he said that the social problems are a struggle for them and causing the regime to shake. But the biggest threat is the growing Resistance in Iran and the influence of the NCRI and the Mojahedin-e Khalq (PMOI/MEK).

Furthermore, he took the opportunity to threaten the people of Iran. He warned the millions of people who have participated in protests that the regime will not sit back and let the dissents continue. He said that serious action will be taken against the people that he claims are endangering the national security of the country.

The brave people of Iran have been risking arrest, torture, imprisonment and even execution to voice their discontent with the leadership of the country. They have nothing more to lose, so are not going to give up on their hopes and dreams of a free Iran just because the regime is ordering yet another crackdown on protesters.

The people know that together they are stronger than the regime. The Free Iran Gathering of June 30, 2018 will present to the world the “Alternative” to the mullahs’ regime for a future free and democratic Iran.
