A Retweet By US Ambassador Nikki Haley Makes Iran’s Regime Go Haywire

A retweet by the U.S. Ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley, has made Iranian regime to go so mad such that a large number of the regime’s media outlets responded in a choir fashion that appears to be coordinated by the mullahs’ Ministry of Intelligence. They resorted to the most insulting remarks against Amb. Haley and senior U.S. officials, further proving how a retweet has touched a soft spot for this out of control regime.

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) in its official English Twitter account posted an excerpt of Ambassador Haley’s speech highlighting the Iranian regime’s human rights violations and referring to the Iranian people’s uprising, and calling for firm action by the international community against the mullahs. The Ambassador retweeted this tweet three days later provoking the haywire reaction by the mullahs.

In their response, the mullahs also referred to their anger over the recent Iranian opposition convention in Paris where international officials from the U.S. and other countries participated. These posts also express their unhappiness over the foiling of an Iran-sponsored plot to target the opposition PMOI/MEK rally in Paris, also resulting in the arrests of the regime’s Vienna-based diplomat in Germany and several operatives in France and Belgium.

The text prepared by the regime’s Intelligence Ministry, has been fully or partly posted by a variety of outlets and contains the following in different wording:

1) Ambassador Haley’s retweet shows close relations between the US foreign policy team and the PMOI/MEK

2) This “group-let” was considered a terrorist until 2012 and the US supports this entity despite claiming to fight terrorism.

3) This “group-let” pays large sums of money to bring politicians to their sessions.

4) Previous US administrations refused to establish overt relations with this organization. The Trump administration, however, has violated this law and is vividly supporting this “terrorist group-let.”

It is a known fact that the appeasement policy resulted in the Clinton administration blacklisting the PMOI/MEK during Mohammad Khatami’s tenure in Iran. From 1997 to 2012, the mullahs’ regime continued to spread lies about the PMOI/MEK and was able to justify allegations with the terrorist designation.

Tehran’s mullahs were able to take advantage of the West’s appeasement policy to blacklist the very entity posing a real threat and alternative to its rule. The PMOI/MEK have proven in numerous courts in Europe and the United States that the blacklisting and terrorist labeling were based on complete lies.

In fact, the Iranian regime itself is the true source of terrorism and threats in the U.S. and Europe.

As the PMOI/MEK gained the trust and support of hundreds of international figures, the Iranian regime began claiming these individuals were paid large sums of money. If such a practice was possible, why can’t Iran’s regime – while already spending billions for terrorism across the region – purchase the support of similar political faces too, for example, to call on the U.S. administration to refrain from sanctioning its regime?

The methods and tactics of Iran’s regime are now known for all. Very interesting is how a retweet by an individual such as Amb. Haley results in such mayhem in the mullahs’ ruling apparatus, knowing that this would further signal and legitimize the very alternative to its rule, being the PMOI/MEK.
