NCRI – The former General Manager of al-Arabiya TV, Abdulrahman al-Rashad stated that no US President brought benefit to Mullahs’ regime like Obama did. He easily ignored the crimes of this regime.
The American destroyer has recently faced the danger of encountering the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) boats for the seventh times in the international waters of the Persian Gulf and it was forced to fire warning shots. The Iranian regime also celebrated the anniversary of the so-called humiliation of the American sailors.
Since 1979 up to now, Obama is the only US President who has shouldered the burden of the Iranian regime. He disregarded the policies of the 5 former US Presidents and negotiated with the Iranian regime. After that, he lifted the economic sanctions on Iran and ignored their crimes in Syria and finally signed a generous deal with them.
Now we shall see if the Iranian regime still dares to disturb or arrest the American ships and sailors following Trump’s Presidency. Would they dare to fire on military vessels in the waters of the Persian Gulf?
Obama’s policies have ended. We do not have to build up our expectation of Trump’s government. However, the senior authorities of his government have stated in the Congress that Trump is not like Obama. This issue is evidenced by the words of his proposed Ministers of the Department of State, Defense and of the Central Intelligence Agency. The three aforementioned Ministers explicitly accused the Iranian regime of causing unrest in the region. They also called on the new US government to defy the Iranian regime instead of building an alliance with them.
If they fulfill what they have promised, there will be significant changes in the US policy in relation to the Persian Gulf as well as the balance of power in the Middle East. Obama started his relation with the Iranian regime stealthily and he trusted this deceptive regime. Obama made the worst mistake by giving the opportunity to this monstrous regime in order to bring disaster in Syria, Iraq, and Yemen.
