Aug31 2017, Freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the Iranian Resistance in Canada staged demonstration on Thursday August 31st in front of the federal parliament in Ottawa in Solidarity with the striking political prisoners in Gohardasht Prison, condemning Massacre 1988 in Iran and rising tide of executions and the grave human rights violations in Iran. In the rally Irwin Cotler, former MP, former Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, Raymonde Folco former MP of the Liberal Party of Canada and David kilgor, human rights activist, author, former lawyer and Canadian politician, delivered speeches about the human rights violation in Iran. The participants and the families the of victims of massacre 1988 called on the Canadian government and United Nations to convene a United Nations investigation commission on the massacre of 30,000 political prisoners in 1988, and to prosecute and punish those responsible for this massive crime.
