NCRI Women’s Committee: A young woman, 16, committed suicide using her father’s gun in his store in Orumiyeh, capital of northwest Iranian province of Western Azerbaijan.
Apparently, the suicide was to escape a forced marriage. The state-run Rokna news agency, which published the news, wrote, “The girl committed suicide after visiting her suitor”. (State-run Rokna news agency – November 12, 2017)
